How 9th Direction Technology Solutions Private Limited collects, uses and safeguards information across our website, quote portal and client engagements.

Last updated: July 23, 2026

1. Introduction

9th Direction Technology Solutions Private Limited ("9th Direction", "we", "us") is a Chennai-based engineering and consulting firm serving clients in the US, UK, EU and Australia. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or interact with our quote portal, and how that information is used, stored and protected.

This is a standard policy template adapted for our business rather than a document drafted by outside legal counsel. If you have questions about anything below, contact us — see Section 9.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Website analytics

Our marketing site and quote portal record basic visit analytics for each page view: a randomly generated session identifier (stored in your browser's session storage, not tied to your name or account), the page path, the referring site, any search keyword present in the URL, session duration, and a coarse device type (mobile or desktop). This data is sent to our backend when you leave a page and is used only in aggregate to understand traffic and improve the site — we do not use it to build advertising profiles or sell it to third parties.

2.2 Contact and engagement information

If you reach out via email, a "book an intro call" link, or a form, we collect what you choose to share — typically your name, email address, company and the details of your inquiry — so we can respond and, where relevant, prepare a proposal.

2.3 Quote and proposal data

When we prepare a commercial proposal for you, it is delivered through a private link containing an access token unique to that proposal. We may additionally protect a proposal with a PIN code and it will automatically expire after a set period. Viewing a proposal may briefly note that the link was accessed, for security and delivery-confirmation purposes; we do not track your activity beyond that page.

2.4 Information from engaged clients

For clients under an active engagement, we may process additional information (such as project data, credentials scoped to a specific task, or communications) strictly as needed to deliver the contracted work, and only for the duration and purpose agreed with you.

3. How we use information

  • To operate, secure and improve our website and quote portal;
  • To respond to inquiries and prepare proposals;
  • To deliver contracted engineering, design and AI consulting services;
  • To understand aggregate traffic patterns (which pages are useful, where visitors come from);
  • To meet legal, accounting and security obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use website analytics for third-party advertising.

4. Cookies and tracking

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. The session identifier described in Section 2.1 is stored in your browser's session storage (not a persistent cookie) and is cleared when you close the tab. Google Fonts are loaded from Google's font CDN to render page typography, which may cause your browser to make a request to Google's servers; no personal data is transmitted by us as part of that request.

5. How information is shared

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share limited information with:

  • Infrastructure providers that host our website, application and database;
  • Email delivery services used to send proposals, invoices and correspondence;
  • Amazon Web Services (S3), used solely to store encrypted operational backups of our systems;
  • Professional advisors (accountants, lawyers) where necessary for our own compliance;
  • Authorities, only where required by law.

6. Data retention

Analytics session data is retained for as long as reasonably useful for traffic analysis and is periodically purged. Quote and proposal links expire automatically (30 days by default, extendable by us on request) and access tokens can be rotated or revoked at any time. Client engagement data is retained for the duration of the engagement plus any period required for legal, tax or contractual record-keeping.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us using the address in Section 9 and we will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for business use and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16.

9. Changes to this policy & contact

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices; the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. For any questions about this policy or your data, contact:
